FOX geared to buy WGN

21st Century Fox is positioning to take over 42 stations from Tribune.  This push will keep the other bidders at bay. This merger will give FOX operation of iconic TV Stations like WGN, WPIX, and KTLA.  After this news broke shares of Tribune Media Co. jumped $2.23, or 6.1 percent, to $38.79. This is the same kind of merging that ruined the radio industry. Make way for FOX to be in billions of debt like the once prosperous iHeart Media. Beatles coming to SiriusXM

You wouldn’t believe it but SiriusXM until recently did not have a Beatles station.  On May 18th this year Beatle Mania can now be cured.  Paul and Ringo have already given the new channel their seal of approval.  This news comes on the heels of the announcement that the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band being re-released.  I think this will fuel the Beatles fever and appease a few die hard fans that have been waiting this long for a station that was geared toward the fab 4. This will ramp up the re-release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Find more at Rolling Stone Mag, http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/siriusxm-announces-beatles-radio-channel-w480114.
